Brintle Confronts Her Husband
During a phone conversation. Brintle confronted her husband about the camera, and he reluctantly admitted to installing it. Little did Brintle’s husband know she had let the police listen in to their conversation. Although he fessed up about the camera installation, he did not state why he installed it. He only said it was a mistake.
“When you have something wrong in your (expletive) head, you just do it without thinking,”
Minero-Hernandez said during the conversation.He also claims he never watched anyone in the shower because the camera didn’t work.
Brintle then left her home with her children, a 12-year-old and 16-year-old from a former marriage, and a 2-year-old son she had with her husband. With little money and nowhere to go, she set up a GoFundMe asking for financial assistance.
Charges
Her husband was charged with two counts of attempted s*xual exploitation of a minor. At the time of his 2021 arrest, he was held with a $20,000 bail. However, he was ineligible for release due to a hold from Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Minero-Hernandez has been in custody at the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office since 2021 under an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer. A court hearing is scheduled for March 8th, 2024, where the final verdict of his case will be determined.
The Mother’s Reaction
Brintle was shocked by her husband’s actions. However, she thought the justice system best handled the punishment. She devoted herself to protecting her daughter. “She grew up with him since she was two years old, and this is just something that’s not normal; it’s not normal at all,” she said.
She also considered the fact that her husband could have lied to her about why he captured the footage and speculated that it may be circulating online. “I pray to God in heaven that that’s not the case; I do. I never expected this from him,” she said.
She has also said her daughter is “doing pretty well” and that the family will seek professional help. “As long as she’s got me, she’ll be good, and, of course, we’ll be reaching out for counseling.“
